Esendex Security Enhancement: Implementation of Web Proxying

Summary of Change

As part of our commitment to providing a secure and resilient platform, Esendex is implementing web proxying via Cloudflare.

Currently, Esendex traffic is managed through our standard firewalling. Following this change, Cloudflare will provide an additional security layer to protect our services against emerging threats and ensure high availability.

What is changing?

There is only one technical change occurring and that’s the Public IP Addresses changing: The IP addresses that the Esendex platform sits behind will change to Cloudflare’s global network.

When is it happening?

The migration will be performed in a phased approach to ensure stability:

Do I need to take action?

There is no expected downtime and most customers will not be affected by this change and no action will be required.

However, if your internal network or integration has either of the following two restrictions, you must prepare for the migration:

  1. Restricted Outbound Internet (IP Whitelisting): If your network only allows traffic to specific Esendex IP addresses, you must update your “allow list” to include the new Cloudflare IPs.

If you restrict outbound traffic by IP and do not add the new addresses, your systems will be unable to connect to Esendex once your account is migrated to the new proxy layer.

Technical Details for Affected Customers

1. Updating Esendex IP Addresses

Pre-change: Users currently connect to Esendex via our legacy data center IP ranges.

After the change: Users will connect via Cloudflare’s IP addresses. To ensure uninterrupted service, please add the following specific IPs to your whitelist:

Note: We recommend allowing these IPs alongside your existing Esendex whitelists starting April 25th to ensure a smooth transition.

While we have provided the specific IPs for this migration above, Cloudflare’s full global ranges can be found at cloudflare.com/ips.
